5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Casual Boot, January 19, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This is the perfect casual boot. The rugged sole and the lovely two toned suede/leather with brushed hardware are just what I was looking for to go with jeans or a skirt.

Fit- I'm 5'9 and I wear an 11. My feet are narrow and my ankles are slim while my calves are on the muscular side. I have had some issues in the past getting some boots over my calves but I had no trouble with these, even with the calf adjustment tab at the tightest notch. I tried them with skinny jeans and with bootcut jeans stuffed into them and still had no trouble with the fit. The top of the boot comes to about two inches below my knee. The footbed is very comfortable and cradles my (high arched) foot very well.

Material and construction- These look as though they will last and wear beautifully. The leather is sturdy and the sole is as well, with mega texture and grip. I will use a waterproofing spray on them, as I do with all my leather footwear, but I expect it's probably... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Took Three Times, November 14, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: Timberland Women's Earthkeepers Bethel Knee-High Boot (Apparel)
Love these boots! However, my intention was to purchase them for the cold and snow of northern N.Y.. They have the great lugg sole, and quality leather I was looking for, but make no mistake, these boots are crafted to fit snugly
around the foot with a thin sock. A true riding boot fit. It took three orders to finally get the fit I wanted, one that could be worn with a thick warm sock. If you live in a warmer climate, or are truly using this boot to ride, I would order my regular size, but if like me, you want a fashionable cold weather boot, you should order your true size in a 'wide', or you'll never get your thick warm socks
in these boots! Now I've found the secret, I LOVE them!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great boot! Snug fit., April 20, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
I'm a high heel girl but had to have these boots. I ordered my true size (7.5) in the burgundy. They are beautiful. It is a dark warm brown color. The fit is tight, and like others can only wear them with a thin sock. I tried them on with thin cotton socks and the toe area was pulled tight when putting my foot in the boot. Perhaps a thin slippery type of sock would be better. I have thin boney feet that are not wide in the slightest and feel tightness in the bunion area. Because these are leather, they will stretch some and will conform to my feet. If you are debating on what size to order, start with your true size. The snug fit feels secure on your feet. If you need more comfort room and wish to wear heavier socks then go up 1/2 size. Think of pumps, if they're too loose then your feet slide out of them. If that is the fit you can accept then order your true size. If not, size up 1/2 size. I hope this review helps.
